Who are nurse practitioners? What do they do?
In Ontario, Registered Nurses in the Extended Class, also known as Nurse Practitioners (NPs), are registered nurses with additional education and experience who are able to order and interpret diagnostic tests, communicate diagnoses, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures.
NPs practice nursing, the goal of which is to restore, maintain and advance the health of individuals, groups or communities. NPs use a holistic approach, grounded in research. They emphasize health promotion as well as illness/injury prevention and complement rather than replace the care delivered by other health providers. In addition to providing a wide range of health care services to patients, NPs also help patients to access other health and social services that they may require.
NPs work collaboratively with many other health professionals. In particular, they consult with physicians, as required by the needs of their patients.

Wonderful Mother
God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

I was thinking about stopping this website during the last month. The reason, was not the time limitation,but disappointment.I
was disappointed due to some inappropriate behaviors of my
colleagues.Let me ask you a couple of questions;why people think when a
service is free it is not valuable ? And, Why people think you are
stupid
while helping them without any expectation? However, finally, I could
not ignore my 4-year effort on this website. In addition, most of the
fellows are appreciated and I can not forget them. So, I will continue my website ,but It has been decided that all future posts be in English language.
This week is the Nurses Week in Canada.
Happy Nurses Week
